Are Your Chickens Cooped Up? Give Them the Space They Need!

  • We noticed that many chicken coops on the market are only made for having chickens seasonally, and they didn’t come with a floor. So we got to work creating a chicken coop that will meet all your needs and will last many years.
  • It is made in the USA and built by Amish-trained craftsmen! It is constructed out of wood and is heavy-duty.
  • This chicken coop can be used in cold AND hot climates. Whether you live in the South with high humidity and heat or in the North with subfreezing temperatures and snow, this chicken coop can be for you!
  • Assembly Required.

Couldn't be happier

The XL OverEZ Chicken Coop stands out as an exceptional product that lives up to its promises. It was delivered safely with minimal cosmetic blemishes from transport. Unboxing showed me that every aspect of the coop reflects a commitment to quality, durability, and thoughtful design. Its ease of assembly is a boon for novices and seasoned hobby farmers alike, making it accessible to a wide audience. The coop came together very nicely and not only provides a safe and comfortable environment for chickens but also adds aesthetic value to the backyard. Assembly definitely requires two people. I wish I could post pictures of the build, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like I can on this site. Nonetheless, based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend the XL OverEZ Chicken Coop to anyone looking to enhance their backyard poultry experience. It's an investment that delivers on functionality, durability, and satisfaction, making it a valuable addition to any hobby farm.

Great Coop

After losing one of our ladies to a predator, we made the decision to upgrade our coop and run. The XL Coop shipped very quickly. Although there was some damage to the outer packaging upon delivery, there was no damage to the actual coop which is a testament to the way these are packed. We had a couple of hiccups while building the coop. There were extra pieces attached to the coop to protect it during transit, but none of the instructions stated to remove them. Also, the screws that were used were a headache. Towards the end, we ended up using deck screws to finish. Overall, we are more then thrilled with the quality and design of this coop. Our chickens are safe and we dont have to worry as much. Also, customer service was extremely helpful and friendly. This is obviously a great company!

Simple and straightforward. Fantastic Coop!

I was on the market for quite some time trying to decide what coop to go with or whether I should just build my own. This is my first chicken coop, so I don’t have experience with anything else on the market, first hand. Running short on time, I decided I liked the features/look of this coop and based on other reviews, I could make a few tweaks to the design and make it perfect for my flock. Assembly is easy and fast with two people, and seems to be very well made. My hens love their new home and it looks great in my backyard! Buy with confidence.

Excellence that is... Worth. Every. Penny!

Invest in this coop!!! This is our second coop we have purchased (as well as a run, an Eglu, and Eglu feeders and waterers) and I cannot emphasize enough how much it has been worth every single penny to save for and purchase these! The assembly was straightforward (my husband and son did it both times in an afternoon) and the structure has been perfect and hassle-free for years. I never, ever, ever have to worry about security nor weather proofing, like I do with all my other time-consuming, serial, jerry-rigged attempts at coops and runs. It has proven well-worth it to make this investment!!!

The only tiny updates I would make toward perfection are in agreement with other reviewers for hot summer nights: 1). I wish the windows had hardware cloth (so I could leave them open on hot summer nights) and that they opened from the outside (still with a predator proof mechanism), and; 2). I wish there was a little more ventilation (I hole sawed a row of holes across the top back wall and protected them from the inside by staple gunning matching squares of hardware cloth; I saved the excised "holes" and just poke them back in during the winter). Otherwise, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! Safe. Durable. Attractive. Reliable.

Extremely sturdy

I’m impressed with this extra large coop. It’s very well made and very sturdy. I asked customer service if I could put extra vents in the coop. She said yes and it would not effect the warranty. So I made the two side vents larger and added a few on the back wall. I will also have to add hardware cloth in place of the window screens. Love the quality of this coop!
